"Many painters have said a painting is nothing more than the manipulation of paint on a surface. Of course it's the painters use of the paint and his/her vision that we see in their paintings. The use of colors, shapes, textures and lines applied to a blank canvas surface is a journey that becomes a process of magical discovery. The cavemen made their statements by recording what they saw. It was what it was then and what it is today, images that had, and still have today, a mystical quality and spiritual meaning that touches our souls. My statements are my paintings.
German Expressionist Max Beckmann said itbeautifully when he wrote that he wants to... express the idea that hides behind so called reality. My paintings are what they are, visions of my experiences and imagination expressed in paint on a two dimensional surface."
