Summary

Warren Keyser.

"On a spiritual level, I am painting more than flesh. The act of painting is a connection to the sacred and the profane."
-Warren Keyser

Warren Keyser was introduced to painting when he was 13 years old. His junior high school teacher, Joseph Pavone, offered to provide private painting lessons at Radcliffe Art Gallery in Bristol, PA. He continued his studies under artists including Alan Goldstein, Robert Dodge, Stan Merz, and Murray Dessner. He earned his Bachelor of Art in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. Keyser describes his work as distinct, progressive, and spontaneous, often featuring people as the main subject. Keyser describes his artistic style as blurred realism, combining accurate representations of his subjects with blurred lines and overlapping shapes that fuse the background with the subject. Keyser's artwork has been featured in Bucks County and Philadelphia, PA and accepted into several juried group shows in Yardley and New Hope, PA. Keyser has had solo shows in Philadelphia, PA and Stockton, NJ. His paintings are in the collections of Philadelphia radio host Andre Gardner and Baltimore author Eric Goodman.
