Mary Blackey

Painter and printmaker Mary Blackey works in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Blackey's works include acrylics, watercolors, and prints that are etchings and monotypes. Blackey's aim in her work is to visually express the premise that forms under tension produce energy of their own. Mary Blackey tends to follow her own vision, producing "mental landscapes" of that which is beyond the ordinary in both painting and printmaking.

Blackey has been an instructor in watercolor at several places in New York and in Massachusetts. She is active in the Phillips' Mill Community Association in New Hope, the Riverside Theatre in Bristol, and the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation.
