For as long as she can remember, Jennifer Hansen Rolli has been painting. At an early age, she would traipse through beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her father, seeking the perfect spot. It was during those outings that her father taught her the fundamentals of color and light. As she works today, his early lessons and enduring presence still influence her art.
Rolli received a B.F.A. in Communication Arts from Kutztown University in 1986. She spent the following fifteen years cultivating her design firm, Hansen Design, in Philadelphia. Her designs and illustrations were frequently published in publications such as Communication Arts, Graphics, and Print. All the while, Jennifer continued to pursue a painting career. The evolution from illustrator/designer to painter was a natural progression for her. Rolli’s paintings can be found in collections throughout the United States and abroad. Her subject matter consists of the Bucks County landscape, interiors, portraiture (often depicting children), and coastal scenes from Nantucket, MA. Rolli has exhibited locally in the Newtown, Doylestown, and New Hope area. She resides in Newtown, Bucks County with her family and is a member of the Phillips’ Mill Art Committee. She is one of the four core artists of the newly founded Silverman Gallery in Buckingham, Bucks County. The Gallery iopened in March 2011 with the exhibition The Bucks County Impressionists Tradition: A New Era– (Alan) Fetterman,(Joseph) Barrett, (Myles) Cavanaugh, (Jennifer Hansen) Rolli.

Teachers and Influences
Rolli says, "My father, Omar Hansen, taught me to paint. My father and my family are supporters of the arts. The impressionist painters have always allured me, including Edouard Vuillard, Edouard Manet and the Pennsylvania Impressionist, William L. Lathrop. Today I take time to appreciate and find influence in all aspects and styles of art. One great friend and mentor I have had all of my adult life is Barbara Schaff from Philadelphia."
