Portrait artist Chloe Martini was also known for her still lifes. Interested in nature, she worked with R.C. Magill to create Bowman's Hill Wild Flower Preserve in Washington Crossing Park, and as a member of the Lenape Land Association, contributed fine illustrations of edible wild foods, and displays of natural foods, as well as a booklet she wrote on the subject. Martini's husband Joseph was the editor and publisher of the Yardley News for many years, and Chloe wrote many editorials for the paper during that time. She exhibited locally, including at Phillips' Mill.

Connection to Bucks County
Chloe Martini lived with her husband Joseph Martini on Old Windy Bush Road, New Hope. Joseph was the editor and publisher of the Yardley News for many years, as well as a violinist with the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra. Chloe worked with R.C. Magill to create Bowman's Hill Wild Flower Preserve in Washington Crossing Park, a tree there is dedicated to her as a memorial. She was a founding member of the Lenape Land Association and exhibited her paintings locally, including the annual show at the Phillips' Mill. She taught Art and English at the Lambertville High School, New Jersey, just across the river from New Hope.

Colleagues and Affiliations
Chloe Martini's husband Joseph was the editor and publisher of the Yardley News for many years, and Chloe wrote many editorials for the paper during that time. Her mother Dorothy Doubble, lived in the area for many years and was also an artist. R.C. Magill, with whom she worked to create Bowman's Hill Wild Flower Preserve, and Betty Chardon, were friends and colleagues.
